Project 3a will allow students to do most of the things they enjoy most doing, bonding with friends, travelling, storytelling and more importantly taking and uploading videos and pictures, focusing mainly on their chosen architecture. In a more serious note, this exercise serves as test on how well the groups can narrate and ‘story tell’ and whether students have learned and understand essential aspects of design. 

 

Project 3A is a group project, with my group composing of Nian Zi, Aida, Bridget, Boay and Aaron. In this project, we have to select a building from a predetermined list, conduct research, studies and visits to produce an informative video about the building. Our initial selection, the Mesiniaga Tower, failed to get off the ground due to an unfortunate clash of interest. As a result, we chose the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station as our replacement.

 

This project emphasizes not only the information regarding the building, but the method of presenting said facts as well.  We had to learn not only about the building in question but also how to effectively convey the data in an effective way. Thus, in addition to the story and research, we also acquired some basic videography, editing and narrative skills.
