The design process is ongoing from conceptual design stage right through to construction. The preparation of construction drawings plays an important role in this process.

 

This project takes us to the construction sites of Bandar Seri Coalfields and of Seremban. Thanks to the cooperations of both developer companies, we, in groups of 8, were able to gain access to the sites and study the construction process. Each group has to produce a large A3 sized report detailing the construction works in various categories. The categories range from basic site safety to foundation works, from large superstructure features like roofs to the most mundane like doors and windows. 

 

Given the large breadth and scope of the project, we divided our report into various sections, and each group member was to study and produce his/her own section before the entirety is compiled to produce the report. I chose to do site safety plus plants and machineries.

 

The resultant A3 report was compiled in Microsoft PowerPoint, and printed on A3 paper.
