The project is an integrated component where it involves structural theory, force calculation and basic structural proposal. This project is designed to allow the demonstration of knowledge and understanding of building structure.

​

The project starts off with us, in groups of 3, designing a simple bungalow from a provided set of templates. After designing the spaces, we then have to create the structural plan, where the slabs, beams and columns are placed, so that we each are able to analyze a sufficient amount of beams and columns.

​

Each of us individually analyzed 6 beams and 3 columns, estimating the amount of dead load and live load from UBBL and thus creating a rough approximation of how much force each structural member is being subjected to.
