PROJECT 1B - COMPARATIVE ESSAY

The second project of the module was completed near the end of the semester, and is technically the last project of the subject, although it is the second half of the first project, and therefore, the “second project”.

​

This second part of the project requires us to write a 2000 word comparative analysis essay based on the findings from the first case study and the site research from the other module “Studio V”.

​

The final project of this module, the comparative essay has us analyse and compare the site for our Studio V Community Library project (Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman) with that site we used for our 1st project in this module - Darshilanr in Beijing, China.

​

This is an individual project, and here I have compared and analyzed both places with respect to the climate, and to Jan Gehl's theories of urbanism that he has so described in his book, Life Between Buildings.
